A long period of high pressure and typically spring-like conditions, together with excellent snow cover down to low altitudes, made it possible to carry out long and complex ski mountaineering routes and to move in areas that rarely have such safe and favourable conditions.
Many descents to the south, on snow warmed by the sun, but also areas with old powder snow that has remained protected from the wind and several beautiful steep couloirs. Now it would take a snowfall to improve the quality of the descents a bit, but in the meantime we can’t complain.
