Rockclimbing in the Dolomites: “The Wall”, Torre Grande of Falzarego

“The Wall” is nice and hard route (always above 6a) on the south wall of the Torre Grande of Falzarego.
The rock is very good and all the pitches are bolted, so you need only 12 quickdraws and a 60 m rope.

Ascent: from Falzarego pass drive down in direction of Cortina and park at the restaurant “Da Strobel” on the left side of the road. Follow the path to the bottom of the Torre Piccola and the first world war ruins on its East side. From here directly to the base of the wall (bolt and name of the route at the starting point). Around 30 min.
Descent: from the last belay climb up (easy) to the summit ridge and go north; then you start to downclimb following the easy normal route (I/II° – red signs – belay for abseiling) and the path on the west side back to the parking (1 h).
