The Haute Route of the Dolomites runs from south-west to north-east and allows you to cross the Dolomites on skis in a week. The most classic version goes from the Rolle pass to Sesto, but we preferred the version that from the fourth day moves into the Fanes Sennes Braies Nature Park. This way you always stay in mountain huts, which can be reached on skis, avoiding taxi transfers. This itinerary solution is appreciated for the best connection between the huts and the extraordinary environment of the park, a UNESCO recognised natural site. This year, due to the lack of snow, it was not easy to follow the established programme, but with some itinerary changes, we managed to have a great week of skiing.
Thanks to my friend and colleague Jim and our excellent team.
