The ‘Spaghetti Tour’ is the charming name that foreign mountaineers have given to the Monte Rosa mountaineering circuit.
It is a week-long trek, starting and ending in Cervinia (or Zermatt), with stays in the comfortable mountain huts on the Italian side, which are highly regarded for their good food…
During the traverse, you’ll climb several peaks over 4,000 metres, enjoying some of the most beautiful views in the Alps and spending a magical night at Europe’s highest mountain hut, the Capanna Margherita (4,550 m).
Last July, we set off from Cervinia and were lucky enough to experience a spell of cooler temperatures compared to the intense heat that characterised the whole summer. The weather was on our side too, and we only encountered a bit of bad weather during the descent from Capanna Margherita. A superb tour with the brilliant Carlo and Olli, on their first real high-altitude experience.
