The Conturines is the highest peak of Alta Badia and his West face is very impressive (and easy to see) from the ski slopes.
Friday the 1st of March, after a long climb on the opposite side, we skied the West couloir which starts from the big saddle close to the summit tower.
Conditions were perfect (good powder) and we managed to reach the car around lunch time, just in time to avoid the avalanches caused by the strong sun and high temperatures in the afternoon.
This line requires a long abseil and it’s not skied very often.
