The Agner is one of the symbolic peaks of the Dolomites and offers one of the most complete ski mountaineering traverses, but rarely in good, safe conditions. A lot of snow is needed up to low altitude, but at the same time it must be safe and not too soft for the ascent.
Nicola and I were lucky enough to be able to do this route on a beautiful day with low temperatures and optimal snow conditions. A little night snow fall made us a bit of a challenge on the ascent, but then gave us a fantastic descent in the valley of Scandole.
Congratulations to Nicola who believed in it and made a beautiful dream come true.
